For their birthday
A milestone birthday gift, in the voices they know.
A 30th, a 50th, an 80th. Give them a small collection of things people love about being in their life.
Bring a few birthday messages together, add a photograph and a note, and put the listening page’s QR code inside their card. They can hear it on the day. Give them the downloaded files, too.
$29.99 once, plus applicable tax. Preview before paying. Digital files; you arrange any printing.
Ask for one short memory, with a date to send it.
Choose a person to put the keepsake together. Ask each contributor for a short recording and give them a deadline before the birthday, leaving time to collect missing files and check the finished page.
A useful message is: ‘Please send about 20 seconds about a memory with Sam, followed by a birthday wish, by Thursday. We are putting the recordings in a page linked from the birthday card.’ Tell contributors who will receive it and how it will be shared.
Make room for the voices that matter.
The finished recording can be up to two minutes. Four messages of around 20 seconds leave room for a greeting and closing thought. For a larger group, ask for one sentence each, or choose a smaller set of stories with the family.
Say it Again’s timeline lets you record a part, add a recording you already have, trim the parts and put them in order. Each contributor sends their file to the person making the gift; this is not a shared guestbook that everyone records into directly. Listen to the whole sequence before continuing.
Put the date and the code in their card.
Add their name, the birthday date and a photograph that fits the memory. You can make the page simple and let the recording do most of the talking. Review your message and photo before paying; the published page cannot be edited.
When the page is ready, download the print kit or place the QR image in your own card design. Add ‘Birthday messages for you — scan to listen.’ Print a proof and open it with a phone camera before sealing the envelope. Send the listening link as well if that is easier for them.
Before the birthday
- Set a recording deadline and leave time for a proof print.
- Check names, the birthday date, and permission from everyone included.
- Listen to the complete recording and keep it within two minutes.
- Test the printed QR code on a phone that did not make the page.
- Keep the original clips, downloaded MP3 and offline page together.
What your keepsake includes
Say it Again is a digital voice keepsake: up to two minutes of audio with your photos and a personal message on an unlisted listening page. You receive its listening link, QR code, downloadable MP3 and photos, an offline page, and the included print-ready kit.
The kit has keepsake cards, story prints, waveform prints, gift tags, wallet cards, QR files and a printing guide, plus editable PowerPoint versions for Canva. Preview the card and prints on your downloads page, then save the files you want. There is no subscription, and listeners need no app or account. You arrange printing; a physical card or frame is not shipped.
Your links and downloads become available after payment and processing complete. Check that the page is ready before sending it to a printer or sharing it for an event.
See the included files and try a sample kitChoose who hears it. Keep a copy.
Anyone with the listening link or QR code can open the page and pass it on. Share only recordings and photos you have permission to use. An adult must create and purchase the keepsake, with the required permissions for anyone included.
Download the recording and offline page, open them once, and keep a second copy with your personal files. The printed QR opens the hosted page and needs an internet connection; your saved offline page works separately.
