When your keepsake is ready, it is easy to send the link and move on with your day. Before you close the email, take a moment to download it too.
A copy on your own device means you can hear the recording without opening the site. You can keep it in the same folder as the photos from that birthday, wedding, or ordinary afternoon.
What to save
- The MP3 recording, so you can play the voice on its own.
- The photos you added to the page.
- The offline copy of the page, which includes the recording and plays without an internet connection.
- The QR code as PNG and SVG, if you want to print another copy.
Put it somewhere you will find it
Give the folder a useful name: the person's name, the occasion, and a date if you know it. Open the downloaded recording once to check that it plays, then include the folder in the backup you use for your other personal files.
Check the offline page before putting it away
Open the downloaded page in a browser, then disconnect from the internet and press play. Check that the sound and photos you wanted to keep are there. If a phone opens only a file preview, try opening the file in a browser on your computer.
Keep a second copy somewhere separate from the first, such as an external drive or the backup service you already use. Sending someone a listening link is useful, but it does not put a copy of the recording on their device.
The QR code and the offline page do different jobs
The QR code opens the hosted listening page. It does not contain the recording itself, and scanning it normally needs an internet connection. The downloaded MP3 and offline page are the files to keep when you want a copy that works independently of the site.
If the email link has expired
The private downloads link in your email works for eight days. After that, open your keepsake page and choose Owner access, then Email me a code. Enter the code sent to your checkout email address to download your files again.
You pay once, with nothing to renew. Your page stays online while Say it Again operates, unless you request removal. Our mission page explains the hosting commitment and what we would do if the business had to close.
